If you own a 5AT and want to improve the speed of your shifts, SprintBooster is the answer. I own a 2003 5at. I read about SprintBooster and decided to give it a try. Before SB shifting with tiptronic, the rpms would drop during a shift,(especially 1st to 2nd) I would nail the throttle to try and minimalize the rpm drop but it was hard to catch it perfect everytime. What SprintBooster does is to alter the throttle reponse to make it significantly quicker. I have read reports that by just flooring the throttle you can accomplish the same response, and I agree. Unfortunately it's not physically possible, man versus computer. There is no way that a 6mt driver can beat the shift speed of a 5at with sprint booter.

Did you notice that the "first/second" shift was any smoother? I have heard that this thing helps with that.

It does help alot, it lets you drop into a lower gear at higher speeds, it also increases the throttle response. I just installed mine last week.

SprintBooster!!!
NVM this post is not an ad.....it's an endorsement! If you check my join date January 2003, I purchased my car in December 2002...purchase price $37,415.00 sticker with taxes, doc fees, etc. it was very close to $40,000. I currently have 18,321 miles on it. (I own 3 other cars) The SprintBooster is the answer to that throttle lag all 5ats have. The SprintBooster comes with a 30 day money back guarantee. Buy it...Try it...and you will be out shifting your mt buddies.

Ya I bought one, it actualy does help. It took a while for me to install, but I was going at it the wrong way.It took me about 5 minutes once I removed the panel under the steering wheel. I did have to bend this metal bracket to make it fit, but i only had to use pliers for that and didnt even have to remove the piece form the accelerator assembly.
