Transmission problem - I think my auto tranny is TOAST!

I've searched the forums and no luck. Someone please help!

Car:
-03.5 G35 sedan AUTOmatic transmission
-only mods is 350Z mid and y pipe, k&n drop in
-114K miles, im the original owner
-Synthetic oil since first oil change, tranny oil changed twice, currently looks clean
-car was never dogged

Problem:
I pull out of my driveway start driving around 40 mph and it pops out of gear, seems like 2nd, won't upshift. My "AT CHECK" light is on now and so is the "CHECK ENGINE" light. My navi is saying take my car to the dealer and saying i could have an emmisions problem. SO I go and check my fuel cap, turn it a few times. I turn off the car and try going again, all check light still on, seems liek it starts in 2nd doesn't upshift. I also hear a clunk sound from the front of the car. I shut the car off and start again. If I go slow as hell it shifts around 2K rpm. If I go any faster it pops into some odd gear and won't upshift again. I've been driving to work and back keeping it under 50mph. Has anyone ever had this problem?

What I know:
-Codes: P1730, P1731, P1774
-i should have written down exactly what it said, basically it said that there's either a mechanical error in the transmission, solenoid error, or low fluids for the first 2 codes
-3rd code is something about 1st gear breaking logic error

I'm pretty pissed because I always took care of my ride. Always spoke highly of and received good comments, like an ambassador for G's. Now my tranny might be toast at 114K miles. I'm hoping someone will say "check this plug" and boom its gonna work.

I am no trans expert, but it certainly sounds like a solenoid issue to me.

You aren't detecting any slipping at all, right?

Does your RPM tachometer seem sparatic? one second @ 1k the next at 2 (but the engine feels calm)

If so, you have a faulty / wet sensor.

that being said, I lost my first transmission. The sensor got wet and the rpm signal was misread causing the TCU to radically change gears from 1 to 3 to 1 to 2 to 5th to 2... etc..

It toasted the transmission.

I have NEVER had the transmission pop out of gear. If anything that would seem like a motor/transmission mount. Perhaps the mount is faulty and causing the gear selector to be pushed out.

at least get those codes checked out man. im pretty sure you can go online to autozone and itll let you type in those trouble codes and you can see what exactly is wrong. thats what the light is trying to tell ya. not being rude either just saying in case you get more codes in future

The car is over 7 years old. It's both mileage and time that takes a toll on parts. Things wear out and break. I strongly suggest you take the car to a qualified transmission shop as soon as possible because you're going to risk damage to the transmission. It may be a simple fix, but if you keep driving, you could risk wrecking the whole tranny.

+1000000 on that. not to mention if you don't keep up with this car its gonna end up costing you a arm and a leg to try to make repairs once things go bad

Transmission needs to be rebuilt. Use the high performance rebuild kit that is now available. GTM, IPT have rebuilds for high power. Good luck.

that seemed to happen to me twice the other day on the highway. i went to hit the brakes and slow down and as i did my rpms shot up to like 4k or so. little sketchy but havent had a issue since. if something happens i hope its while im still under warranty.

Tranny replacement on my 2003 sedan 2 years ago cost me a little over $5000. That was at 110,000 miles. Get it checked ASAP.

Tranny can be sourced for $500 used with low miles. Install takes roughly 5-6 hours if you do it yourself. You will need to have the TCM reflashed at the dealer since it is a different Valve Body and the EEPROM will only learn the TCM once at first start. To pair up a reflash is necessary.
