Transgo ftw!

Just picked up my car this morning, had the transgo kit installed for 300$...the best 300$ ive spent on this car. Works pretty damn good with my 3.7fd too...Any other guys with automatic Gs, do your self a favor, buy the transgo kit and get one installed asap!!!

Amazing how much more we're hearing this lately. The kit has been out for like 3 years...and its just now getting popular.

That's a great price for the install. What shop did this work for you, where are they located?

I am curious myself about which transgo kit for my 04. I have been looking into upgrading the VB and I am excited to get rid of the shift lag. I just want to make sure I order the right kit. Does anyone have a part number for a kit to fit a 04. Also I read that the 04.5+ are a different kit. How do I tell if mine is a 04 or 04.5?

RE5R05A-HD2

Its the only kit and it works for any 5AT g35

Its the same one used for any 5 Speed RWD trans from NISSAN

oh, and its awesome.

I'm guessing the OP paid $300 for labor, is that right?

RE5R05A-HD2 = $229+ shipping
8 qt of Matic-S = $80

Out the door thats $550-650 depending on whether or not you provided the fluid

Why is $300 an amazing install price? It's an OK price if you ask me...the kit really is pretty easy to install, just messy.

I can't believe there are companies that sell the kit installed on the valvebody for $700-$800 PLUS whatever it'll cost you to install it on the tranny...that's a rape imo.

Great!!! Next question is where can I find it for $229? The cheapest I can find it is off ebay for $250 and I really don't care that much for ebay.

I have always been nervous about doing anything myself to the tranny, but I am not about to pay out the azz for someone else to do it. This will be a learning experence for me but from everything I have heard, it is a mod well worth having. I haven't been this excited since I bought my G.
