Hey all,

Just replaced the original clutch on my 03 MT with 60K. Original showed evidence of normal wear and was definitely due.

New kit is SPEC stage 2 with their steel flywheel. Had a small issue with shipping damage to the trigger wheel, but SPEC checked the flywheel and replaced the trigger wheel at no cost. Had Rennon Imports here in Tampa do the work. They were great.


Still in the break in phase, I do notice more noise and vibration if I lug in higher gear. As advertised their steel flywheel dampens most of this. Overall the clutch is smooth, not grabby and grips like kung fu.

Would recommend the clutch kit (about $900) and Rennon if you need a competent performance shop in Tampa.

Next brakes and a perf chip. I really like my Brembos, but the rotors are overdue. Any suggestions on a perf chip?

There is not a "perf chip" for the G35. You'll need to get a custom tune if you have any breathing mods. If you have no mods its not worth it.

No breathing options applied yet, other than K&N.
