clutch slipping?

when i shift into gear (2nd gear is the worst) i guess the clutch is slipping since the rpms climb real high and the car accelerates slow.

i put a JWT clutch/flywheel combo in the car 2-27-09 so the clutch cant be going out can it?

i noticed when i took the car out right now that the clutch pedal was low and i had to pump it.

i could also smell burnt clutch when i got home

car is a 2005 6MT

i did forget to mention that 3 different people drive this car, my mom and i are sharing the car right now but my brother does drive the car every now and then. could the different driving styles cause the clutch to go out?

master cylinder could be going out. Thats a little premature for JWT to go out regardless of who drives...

how many miles since the install?

not many miles since my mom and i hardly drive the car, i go to collage and my mom works at the collage and its only one mile away

i drive to friends houses but they are all 5min away driving so the car does not see many miles

yeah you might want to have the master cylinder looked at.

it also falls under your powertrain warranty in case you can't fix it on your own.

well i called my local transmission shop that i get all my work done at and the owner told me that it sounds like the clutch is going out...

really sucks to hear that since iv only had the JWT clutch for a little over a year

whats even worse is i cant find my invoice/Receipt from Concept Z Performance to see if they have a warranty

Really? Which dealership is honoring this as powertrain issue? I have asked 3, and all have said no.

The only thing in the powertrain/drivetrain that is not covered is the clutch/flywheel and the regular wear and tear items.

Grubbs Infiniti in TX honored it. The master cylinder assists in making the car move which essentially makes it part of the drivetrain.

You have to be a politician with dealerships to get what you want.

Politics aside, Grubbs is def the exception rather than the rule (but Beebs, i suppose that's good for you lol). If you can name a dealership in socal that honors that I would love to hear it.

Any dealership will do it...if they tell you no...call Infiniti customer relations. They'll make it happen
