Decipering OBD2 scanner live data feed
First off, nothing is wrong with my vehicle. I picked up an Actron 9180 reader and just playing around with some of its features. One feature is the ability to display live data from the engine as well as record data on a manual trigger or CEL.
So anyway, just playing with the live data. Most of it is self explanitory such as RPM, ECT, IAT, etc. Now i know it also displays O2 sensor voltages as well as short term and long term fuel trims which is a important set of numbers to know. I understand that when STFT goes beyond 10% for long, it starts to adjust the LTFT to compensate.
If there any published data in a service manual explaining what are acceptable ranges for some of these values so i can use it for future diagnostics?
