Clutch replacement time

I hate to make a new thread but anyway... (this is embarrassing) how long would it take for a professional to change a clutch? I am thinking that I might need to do this. I have been having some problems with mine but it was because of mine own doing. I had messed with the clutch height a long time ago and had put it back so I thought but I didn't. So now I am kind of wondering if there is premature wear because power is not getting through like before. I remember a long time ago that when I would do an ecu reset that it would get really smooth after a certain number of miles. But now when I do that it remains rough, not nearly as smooth and certainly the car is not as lively either. There is definitely a performance decrease. I do remember my clutch pedal in the past being quite stiff but now it is quite light as well. Is this a sign of wear? I am no mechanic by any means, I just need a little advice so that I am on the right path to get my car right again. Thanks.

Re: Clutch replacement time

Check your fluids. My girls miata's pedal went limp when her clutch master cylinder sprung a leak.
