humming noise from my diff

Didn't really have much play if any. It got louder the faster I went. The way to really tell is to raise the car and run it. Listen with a stick or stethescope at diff and wheels.

Did you have someone who could raise the rpm's so you could hear?

I even had it put on a ramp, had someone drive it in the air and someone else under the car but could not hear anything. It only happens under driving more noticable in 2nd gear.
