Transgo shift kit - 15% off

FYI, Summit Racing has 15% off orders over $150 right now. I just ordered the Transgo shift kit for $207 shipped. Use code XS1215 at checkout. According to one of the coupon code sites, this may expire tomorrow.

I've been watching it like a hawk and holding out. Summit sure is stingy with their discounts. Can't wait to get rid of these slow and sloppy shifts! I talked to a guy at Transgo the other day, too, and he tried to warn me "Now all of your shifts will be very firm and your wife/girlfriend may not like it...not for a grocery getter." Haha, I'll be just fine, I said.

Thanks for the notice OP

Johnathan (or anyone else that has Transgo) - how are the downshifts?...

I'm tempted to get VB upgrade - but I've recently had Osiris Torque Management flashed to ECU; it causes higher line pressure and makes up-shifts snappy, but downshifts are slow and sloppy (something I will work with tuner on at some point). This is fine for drag strip - but spirited street and road course it sux!

Just want to be certain the Transgo kit doesn't affect downshifts at all...

^ Any good trans shop should be able to handle this just fine, but I would at least try to find one who says they have experience with these. Have you considered DIY?

Ordered Thursday, already arrived on my doorstep! Going to install around New Years.

I didn't notice a change in the downshifts after installing mine. I'll be driving my car this week to work. I'll take it on a side road and do another test and pay close attention to the downshifts. I'll post back in here since the question came from here

This is a great price...I think the lowest I've ever seen it. The shifting is very aggressive...I love it

There is a DIY on here complete with pictures. With the great instructions the kit comes with, this is very DIY capable at home. Just be organized and take your time, as everyone that has done this says. I think I did mine with my father (retired transmission specialist) in about 2.5 hrs, taking our time. So just double that for those that don't like to get their hands dirty often
