Loud whining noise whlie acclerating! Helppp!!
I have a 2004 g35x, so i noticed like a week ago that my G was making a very loud whine/humming noise while accelerating. usually occurs after 35mph and gets louder as you go faster.
I know its not the tire feathering thats causing the issue, maybe its the awd system which is the differntial/transfer case? Its not the wheel bearing because i tried turning sharply towards left and right but still same noise./
If someone had simialar issue and resolved this please help me out. The noise is really annoying and its embarrasing having someone sit with me and its really loud, i usually have to turn the music up

Did you supercharge it at any point without knowing? Heheh =P
It could be a slew of things...
First thing to pinpoint is where the sound is coming from. It could be the differential/transfer case; check the fluid levels there. It could be from worn belts, AC compressor, alternator, transmission, etc, etc..

haha no i didnt supercharge (i wish)
it sounds like its coming from the front end, i know its not worn belts or ac compressor, alternator. Car drives like a beauty and if it were worn belts the noise would be more of a screech?
can the differential/transfer cases fluid levels being low have anything to do with the whining noise? or would it just be a bad differential?
