It is a bolt on replacement for the OEM plastic undertray and it has a trap.

These under shrouds were developed to protect your critical engine parts under the car and also because the cheesy plastic OEM shield deteriorates over time and usually ends up on the highway behind you somewhere. Without the shield in place the air that comes in thru your facsia should be directed into you radiator and instead will just take the path of least resistance and exit under the car instead of cooling off your radiator. Just like the upper radiator air guides keep air going thru the radiator.
Please note it does that come with the screws, however the screws from the oem undertray can be used or else it can be purchased for very little from a hardware store.
