In a nut shell, replacing the stock clutch pedal spring with this provides a more progressive clutch feel. You'll be able to feel when the clutch is starting to grab. With the stock setup, the feel is very linear throughout the pedal stroke resulting in no feedback, very vague clutch feel, and likely more clutch wear.

Assuming your sig is correct, this spring will not fit your car. It fits 2nd gen G35's, G37's, and 370Z 6mt models.

Here's what the pedal assembly looks like in those cars. If yours looks different, it won't fit.

I'm confused this part is only for people that have models equipped with the spring already.... unless it was an option I'm not aware of??

This part replaces the stock spring. If your clutch pedal assembly does not resemble the pics above then this will not work for you.

06 G35 MT6 clutch assist spring

Removed my 06 G35 pedal assembly and the spring is not pushing the pedal back up. The spring looks shorter that your photo and may be weak. Other than dealer is there a replacement? I may try to shim it.
