Worried about missing dipstick

Hey guys, I've had my car for about a year now and today we changed the tranny fluid on my friend's car so I figured, why not check my tranny fluid since I've never checked it and maybe do a tranny fluid change tomorrow when it's light out. I took off the 10mm bolt to get the dipstick out and to my surprise, the actual dipstick itself was missing. Who knows how long it's been missing, I didn't try to look into the hole to see if it was in there or if it was never actually there. I was just in such shock and put me in such a bad mood I went inside and called it a night. Can this harm anything and any possible fix? Keep in mind also that I don;t know how long the stick was missing for but i know it didn't fall in today when I took the bolt out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I know 03-04s Sedans never came with a dipstick its most likely the same for a coupe as well, 05-06 did come with one, yea I know odd. You can buy one from the dealer.

I think only the early 03's don't come with the dipstick. My 03 (later model) had one...
