Hey guys, so I bought a used 07 g35 w 50,000 and it's been running like a champ for a couple weeks until recently.. So the manual mode doesn't work at all whatsoever (I barely used it, but decided to try it out today and it just stays in auto mode). Also, the rpm seems very high ie. when I am going 60mph, it is already at 3k rpm at 80mph, it is at 4200 rpm... it just doesn't seem to shift to 5th gear anymore...very unusual. I took it to dealer and they told me they would charge $150 just for the diagnostic, so I took it to my mechanic and he said the transmission sensor was bad. Thought he fixed it, but same problem occured later after driving for around 15 miles. Anybody else experience or know someone who experienced this? Please any input would be greatly appreciated!

 

so i came back from the dealer and they told me that I had to replace the sensor for my transmission and that part alone is $1,100???? And when I asked em how often does this need to be replaced (car only has 53k miles, he quoted maybe in another 50k miles which is bs) Anybody else know of this. Please any help or input would be greatly appreciated.
