Clutch problems
Clutch problems
I have a 05 g35 coupe 6mt and I had an emergency an someone who hasn't driven stick in 8 years had to drive my car approx. 20 blocks....I wasn't there to see what exactly happened but I came back...the car starts fine an I don't hear any unusual noise, but the clutch petal goes all the way to the floor an it can't go into gear.....does anyone know what it possibly be?
Have you tried reaching down and pulling the pedal back up? I replaced 2 clutch cylinders in my last Z because of this happening. You should be able to drive your G once you've pulled the pedal back....for a while.

Not smart to throw parts at an issue based on "what you herd." That is unless you are infinitely wealthy which I don't think applies here. Take your car to a trusted shop that's not the dealership and have it diagnosed properly.
I had a similar problem years ago, all I did was flush the master/slave with new fluid and it worked.

True I definitly am not infinitely wealthy, but I "what I herd" was kinda an understatement...my neighbor who usually fixes cars took a look at it....an pumped the clutch, and it seemed to b leaking from the clutch master cylinder or where the clutch line meets it.....I was just thowing it out there to see if anyone had or have had a similar problem
DOT4 brake fluid if you can completely flush and refill the system. It's got a higher boiling point (the OEM fluid is DOT3) so it doesn't break down as quickly in summer conditions (the clutch line also routes close to the exhaust / cat area adding to the heat).
Slave cylinders on our cars aren't the greatest, I've replaced one already and am probably going to do another this summer as I've already had my first sticky pedal issue of the year.
Like Gary and Blue said, no way to know for sure via the text on a message board, but it wouldn't be a shock to me if it's a crappy slave cylinder.
