SS Clutch Line

So, I removed the 12mm bolt that goes from the line to the tranny/slave cylinder with no problems. I also got the 10mm nut that is right next to the hard line removed with a swivel head wrench. Now this is going to sound dumb but I can't remove the bracket that sits right below the hard line. I tried needle nose pliers and a rubber mallet with no success.

Here's a pic for reference: http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/5581/img6393u.jpg

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Any tips?

Do I have to do anything weird to get it off? So far, I've been sliding a pair of needle nose pliers behind it and just tried pulling.

Is it easier to bend the part that flares up?

Infiniti polly has some fancy tool to remove them. Check the Service manual: http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/G35/Sedan/2005_G35_Sedan/

Still nothing.

I checked cl.pdf on page 13 and the instruction were EXTREMELY vague.
