So I ran into some problems installing my new clutch fluid hose. Here is the picture of my current.

My problem is the bolt on top, on the opposite side of the part that goes into the slave cylinder. The bolt is stripping when I try to get it off. So I need to get a new bolt, but I don't know what it's called or where to get it. Please help.

Please Help. My clutch feels horrible but I cant replace unless i have that bolt! its where the smaller hose hits the larger one, where that plate is. Right to the left that little nut, it is stripping.

It's a brake line fitting. You're gonna need a flare tool as well. You'll have to take it off somehow, try to use vice grips. Once you break it off, you'll be able to slide that fitting back and forth on the metal line. Slide it down a little, and you'll see that on the end it's flared.

You'll cut off that flare, bring it to autozone, have them match it up, and rent a flaring tool. Slide the fitting off, put new fitting on, and flare the end of the line, and you're good to go. Watch a couple of Youtube videos on how to flare the line.

are you talking bout the tubing nut holding the steel line with the yellow dot on it? Because the line going to the slave is attached to the slave with a "banjo" type fitting.
