ATF in radiator

After I replaced my broken radiator on my infiniti g35x sedan 2007 I got problems. When I put selector in D car doesnt want to start driving I need to push gas more to make it happened. So my mechanic told me that its because of the low level of your ATF so I need to add fluid but I dont know how much I lost when I replaced radiator. Can somebody assist me with this?

I think he replaced his radiator and is wondering how much ATF was lost after doing so, since on auto models ATF flows through the rad via extra hose connections on the bottom. Actually, I'm more stumped that someone has the technical skill to change a radiator but doesn't know how to check fluid levels in his transmission.

OP, you warm up the transmission by driving it. You also check fluid via a dipstick, similar to how you check engine oil. Only it's probably held closed by a bolt. Remove the bolt, then you can pull out the dip stick to check level. Should be up near the firewall, on the right (passenger) side of the engine bay. Telcoman gave you a link to the correct document, but quoted how to fill up a manual transmission, completely different.

You must be new here. The G had a cold AND a hot check on the dipstick, and it is accurate provided it is on flat ground.

Do you really need to know specifically how much fluid was lost? If it's low on the dipstick, add fluid until it reads full. Done. Simple.
