08 G35X trans engagement question

Hey all!
First off, my 08 G35x has just had it's tranny fluid flush and filled less then 2k miles ago (90k miles, stock trans). I left for a week, come back, and the first thing I notice is that after I shift into D or R, it requires 500 or so RPM's and then it will seemingly "bang" into gear and off I go. I can feel the car shifting into gear, it just doesn't move until you press the pedal until that certain point. Shifting from that point on is perfect and once the car is warm this problem goes away, only happening again after the car has sat for a bit. Any idea what could be causing this? I do live in a cold climate which I'm sure doesn't help. Thanks for any input!

Check the level of the fluid.
