approximate time to swap manual trans?

for those of you who've done this before--what's a 'best case scenario' for swapping a manual transmission in a 2003 coupe? i'll have access to lift/tools/etc.
also, any tips on how to make this easier, or other things to do while we're in there?

thanks,
Faron

I replaced my clutch with a friend and it took us 6 hours on a lift. I imagine just swapping out the trans would take a little bit less time.

Unless you're talking about an auto to manual swap. I'm sure that could be done in a weekend if you have everything ready do go.

this is taking way longer than expected....

All was going well until we tried to separate the trans from the bellhousing, it's separated and moved back a bit, but it is stuck. Yes, all the bolts are removed. We've tried moving it up/down/side-to-side with the trans jack, and no luck. Even tried a come-along and that wasn't pulling it to the rear either.
Will dig into it more tomorrow.

Did you remove the shifter and the drive shaft?

yes we removed everything necessary. the dowel pins were severely corroded, causing the transmission to be very difficult to separate from the bellhousing.
