Why doesnt the manual tell you where the Transmission dipstick is located?

 

Because for the Auto they do not give you one.[img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img] Apparently Infiniti do not want us to mess with checking for ourselves.

 

Every automatic transmission car I've owned had a
transmission dipstick, except my 2003 G35 5AT.
My 2000 Maxima has one. There is a tube at the
back of the engine compartment on the left side
for Infiniti to check the transmission fluid. There is
no dipstick for us "mortals" to check.

most cars have them, it serves the purpose of checking the "redness" of the oil. If it turns brown or darker red then its very dirty and needs to be changed immediately

When I first read this post, I thought he was asking where the Transmission dipstick was in the Manual (6MT) G35.
