HELP! JWT Clutch & Flywheel installed now she won't crank???!!!

Come in Randy or Neffster...I just had my JWT clutch and flywheel installed, and now it wont crank???!!! It just turns over, the local infiniti dealer said they may not have installed the flywheel corectly and the timing could be off. Did you guys or anyone else have this problem? Man, my luck sux!

That's odd. First thing I'd ask is what did they unplug to do the install.

Also, go STRAIGHT to my350z.com Technical & Modification Forum and copy this thread.

good luck.

i am no expert...

but you can only start the car with the clutch pedal depressed.

maybe when they installed the new clutch/flywheel, it was not aligned properly causing the car to think the clutch and transmission is still engaged, or something else is causing to think the clutch pedal is not being depressed.

The flywheel can go on many ways but there is only 1 correct way for it to go on so that the crank angle sensor slots are in the correct place.
Sorry mate but out she comes again

Well, shes running! Turns out the "technician" and I use that term loosley...istalled the dowell pin on the altima/maxima side not the G/Z side that was clearly marked in the istructions that came with the flywheel. In turn obviously the crank sensor wasn't aligned properly. Hope this helps anyone in the future that may have an incompetent tech install their JWT set up

Thanks guys! Just took her out for the first drive...UNBELIEVABLE!!! I didn't realize how bad my stock clutch was. The chatter is very minimal, revs VERY quick! Pedal releases just a couple of inches off the floor, and pedal feel seems lighter. Very happy with the mod thanks again for all of your help guys!
