6-speed problems

ok guys, my tranny is starting to aggrivate me. First problem, when the car is driven for the first time after sitting (even if its warmed up) when you go from first to second, when you put the clutch in, something is spinning still. It's an odd sound. Some friends of mine said it sounds like the clutch is not disengaging or something like that.

Second problem is the synchros for 3rd and 5th. Sometimes even first. They don't always want to go into gear, and when it does, it clicks/grinds.

Has anyone had any of these problems fixed? What did you tell the dealer when you went in? How long did it take? Did they fix it right away or did they have to order parts and bring the car back another time?

Yes the flyweel is still spinning. Don't worry about that issue, this is normal.

What's not normal your car grinding gear in 3rd and 5th. Talk it to your dealer. If they do a swap, it will usually take a few days, assuming they have the parts in stock.

Re: 6-speed problems

A friend of mine had his 6 speed tranny replaced after only 3k miles. The syncros for 3rd gear went bad. He said that Infiniti customer service was aware of a syncro problem and they put a new tranny in. I suggest that you ask for a new one also.
