CP Pistons *BNIB*

SOLDI have a set of CP pistons for sale. Some of the best pistons out there. Brand new. VQ35DE application. 9.8:1 comp. 96mm bore. Includes upgraded 9310 steel wrist pins, locks and ring set. Perfect for supercharged/turbo applications. I sleeved my block so i bought 98mm bore pistons instead. $900 obo. Thanks for looking.

just curious why you chose the 9.8:1 compression rather than the 8.0-8.5:1 ratio?

oh man i could spend an hour on this... simply it has to do with with static engine compression and turbo efficiency. more power on less boost, but with better fuel (e85) without running the risk of detonation. generally you want to yield a lower dynamic compression than the fuel you are using.

sounds like you know a lot about this.. can you offer me some insight? I am supercharged with a vortech, currently running about 7 psi. I don't plan on going more than 10-11 ever. I had picked up some 11:1 compression pistons for a NA build a long time ago and am having second thoughts about using them now that I'm FI.

what are your thoughts?
