AARONHL - Seems like an unusual problem. I recommend draining the fluid and starting over. DO the bleeder a couple times. If the problem still persists unless you have deer fur in a radiator hose my last guess would be the heater core. IF so I can only say good luck :( . Hopefully someone else can chime in with a better explanation to solve your problem . I'm really not positive!

I might send you a pm today about the sedan decals :)

I'll try draining and starting over. How do I flush the heater core?

Yes, all I had to do was bleed the system. Took a while to do, but now my radiator is leaking. Hahaha

Replaced my radiator and the heat is ICE cold. Not sure what to do, I bled it a couple times. Maybe I will let it sit and try again..

Heat was fine before the radiator swap.

Anyone have a picture of this air bleed/relief valve in the engine compartment? I can't seem to locate it.

AARONHL 05-14-2012 04:42 PM

You don't need a picture, look between the battery, engine, and firewall. There are some silver pipes and on one is the bleeder, it's a black plastic screw.

AARONHL, did you ever fix the problem after the new radiator? I'm having the same problem now. It doesn't really bother me that much since the car isn't overheating, but it's definitely annoying.

This happened after I drained/refilled the coolant. Doesn't seem like it's circulating to some areas. My fans kick on just fine, and I can spit coolant out the cap and bleeder valve just fine but can't get anymore bubbles to come out. I did get a good amount of them out, seems like there's one giant one stopping me. Lower radiator hose remains cold even after a 20 min drive. FWIW, I poured in the new coolant slow as hell, like 4-5 minutes to put a gallon in there.

I recommend you use the Lisle spill free funnel to bleed the coolant system if you haven't tried it already.

AARONHL 01-25-2013 08:57 PM

After I changed my radiator, I let the car sit overnight and in the morning the lines were fill and was able to bleed it
