painted my plenum today

i hated the two square marks that got melted on the plenum so i decided to paint it...i used 1200 degree safe aluminum paint...was pretty easy to do...heres some pics

I can guess. If you can find an engine paint color you like, use that. It's tough, heat resistant and I've had great experience with it.

standard thermal engine paint from auto parts store. I did mine last year...

I used Dupli-Color High Heat with Ceramic 1200 degrees safe...the color is Aluminum DH1606 and i bought it at pepboys

I would like to try that "hammered" look paint. Do you think I could get away with some high temp as a base coat and then the hammered on top or vise versa?

I'm sure you could get away with it, the plenum doesnt get crazy hot. IF you go ISO-Thermal with MREV it stays even cooler
