Thanks G35Gnome, I'll check out the site. Are the rotors you got the ones for the 350Z?

Re: Succesful Crawford Install :)

is the 350z and g35 crawford plenum exactly a like? I can get a 350z plenum and it'll bolt right up on my g35 with no problem?

Hey gurgenpb, what kind of performance increase did you notice after you put in the ecu with the custom mod settings ?

Re: Succesful Crawford Install :)

did you see my dyno? here it is again.

Just for reference, a stock 350Z 6MT pulled 231 on this dyno machine. The green curve is a stock 5AT sedan (not mine). Mine does 241! I love it. It is almost sary to drive. And guess what, no dual catback system in yet, or headers! I am expectingto break 260HP barrier with them (by December).

The ECU is basically modded for the plenum/intake configuration to give the correct A/F ratio! If you want to get it, Danny at TechnoSquare has that version, so ask for it if you have an intake and plenum

What is the easiest way to install the Crawford Headers, Plenum, and High flow kitty kats and the Stillen test pipes? Haha, I know it could be easier with a lift but I don't really care, do I really need a lift or can that stuff be put on using blocks to lift up my little G-baby? Anything will help since I have about a week until that stuff arrives! Thank you.

Forget about installing the headers yourself. The engine must be lifted/rocked off of the mounts. Take it to a good shop. Expect to pay $400+ for the header install.

Do a search on this and you will see a bunch of threads on crawford header install. Not a job for a novice.

you can't install high flow cats AND test pipes... they're the same part of the exhaust. if you go the test pipe route, make sure to get resonated ones to try to eliminate the rasp. if you go with the Crawford cats, they bolt right up and sound great.

as far as the headers, i had my TopSpeed ones installed by Performance Motorsports (the builders of one of the world's fastest NA 350z drag cars). i consider them experts in all things VQ35 and it took them over 7 hours with the car on a full lift. also, the crawford headers are the tightest to fit, so i imagine it would have taken even longer for them. not trying to discourage you at all, just making sure you know how much of a b!tch headers are to install.

i believe i do have the "rattle" that you're talking about (i think, i really didn't notice it until i was standing behind my car while it was getting dynoed) on mine, it happens only when you lay on the gas, but i don't FEEL anything, so it doesn't seem like a vibration... just a little hint of rasp i think. i'm not sure if this is from the Crawfords or from my Y-pipe or headers also

Crawford High Flow Cats Dilemma

Which is better to go with...the high-flow cats or the test pipes? I have Crawford Cats and Stillen Test Pipes and would love to know what I can do to get the biggest horsepower gain. I need to know ASAP because the place I'm getting my stuff installed they said that all the Crawford stuff was crappy or whatever. I don't believe them even though they're recommended by GReddy. They told me that it didn't make sense to put the Crawford Cats on because they were smaller than the stock Cats. They also said the headers were a bad design. I would like to slay this little dilemma ASAP because I want my car to sound freaking awesome. If you need to just email me @ crmd37@hotmail.com and that'll be a faster way to get a hold of me! Thank you very much everyone
