from what i read to get a pontiac gtp into 12s is very easy only a few mods. to get it into 11s is a bit more work. all on auto tranny.

I’m not doubting you but I can’t understand that with 387WHP FWD will get you 11.2s in the ¼ mile, unless of course he shoots NOS or has more HP than 387WHP. The Viper SRT10 has more power and gigantic 13” rear wide tires and they get like 12s in the ¼ mile.

 

I will have to see it to believe it!!!!!!!!! A GTP running 11.2 in the 1/4 w/auto on stock tires? Where did you see the HP and 1/4 numbers?

Never mind, I found it. The car sounds like a Winston Cup stock car. If my G has to sound like that to make 378WHP, then I would leave it stock.

Anyway, that's pretty awesome for a Pontiac!!

I dunno why... but the sound of that thing idling.... is just hypnotizing. everything about it says... be afraid be very afraid. LOL. There are a number of people at my college had mustangs that sounded like that if not worse. Some guys had like 1/2in NOS lines runing it was insane.

would be kinda interesting to get my G to that level of power and still daily drive it.

when i posted it up i didnt mean it in a sense of ATI procharger vs eaton blower. I meant it 1car vs the other car that are both supercharged. sorry if it was confusing you.

Well despite what you may think of American Junk. the block thats in that car....is actually one of the better blocks out there. It can handle the power upgrades and very reliable.

to do those numbers yes he must have ran slicks. Dont forget.. 911 turbo can not launch like that. They have to build boost. Plus 911 were never meant for 1/4 racing its a more of a racing car and handling then just 1/4 power.
