Yes. You listed plugs that are one step colder and 1 in Platinum and the other is Iridium. To make a long story short...... Platinum is used for longevity and are idea to use in difficult firing situations. They also have tendency to pre-ignite, hence giving you ping. Iridium on the other hand is less prone to pre-ignite but will foul quicker than Platinum. As for one step colder, all it does is not sit so far down into the head and heat up as much during "hard driving" as the standard plugs. If you heat the plugs more than designed for (IE F/I Nitrous) they tend to misfire and cause things to go boom. Yes there is a performance change but it's very minimal. Nut shell answer.
