Cipher....wiring?

I know Cipher is a software for the PC/laptop, but do we need to do any wiring in the car to use the Cipher? Or is it just a cable you plug in.

Can idle speed be raised w/ Cipher on a 06? Sam at GTM didn't think so.

Uprev's website shows everything this tool can do. I think it should be able to in addition to the timing advance etc........

It can not on 2004.5
