Who goes without the engine cover?

Yes, I try to match my car as close as I could. For high temp paint, the color choices are limitted. It's the same paint I used for painting the caliper as shown here, so you can see two colors side by side.

Me too, right after my pop chrgr and Z tube went in.
Plus, I'm badged as a Nissan Skyline 350GT. Infiniti on the engine cover contradicted what I'm badged as and representing.

Took mine off the day I got it. The cover was pretty hot when I took it off so I figured it would help with temps. Just put the 5/16 spacer on this past weekend at 1400 miles and intend on leaving the cover off. I would guess the IAT (intake air temperature) sensor is built into the maf which would show intake temps would not show possible heat soaking of the plenum. The plenum itself showed lower temps using an infrared thermometer without the cover in my experience (after my 30 minute drive to work) but I have no IAT info as I have not purchased a diagnostic program like the Autoenginuity yet.
