Spark plug interpretators...

Changed out my plugs tonight to NGK Irridiums, one step colder than stock. The stock plugs had 30k miles on them.

Opinions?

The first is the driver's front, then the driver's middle, then the driver's rear:

how come you went colder, I thought that was only needed if you went FI. Is there any benefit?

O - MY - GOD. I typed "interpretators" in the thread title. Forgive me, I was watching a football game.

I've been experiencing knock. I went colder in an attempt to address this knock.

Here you go. From the way it looks, the plugs are just right.

Actually, after looking at all of the plugs, it seems like plugs 3, 4, and 6 are running cold/rich. I think you'll do more harm if you go with colder plugs.

They look pretty good. It appears that the car is running oh so slightly rich. If the plug ceramic was whiter, then I'd say slightly lean. My VQ plugs (haven't yanked my Gs) have always looked like #19 on the link posted above.

I think going with the slightly colder plug may help you out and is the right step.
