G/Z Competition Oil Pan

I just picked this aluminum VQ oil pan up from one of my distributors: Autobraun Distributors

Here are a few pics. It's finned, baffled, and looks like it increases oil capacity a bit.

The price seems good: $198 CDN (about $175 USD)

Sure looks cool, so I'm trying to decide if I should get one or not. Anyone have any experience with these things? Advantages or disadvantages?

I just found this site doing a search:

350Z Motorsports

Looks almost the same to me (enough that it might be a knock-off ).

I can't believe the MSRP!

So should I get it or not? Opinions?

Yes, that's what I was thinking.

It's seems to be a very good quality aluminum casting, and the mating surfaces are machined.

The price is certainly right!

So, are there any downsides besides the $6 or so for the extra liter of oil? I don't track my car, but do drive hard at times. I think that if I had FI, I'd definitely go for it, and there are the advantages of the baffling, and extra oil capacity.

Is it possible that I can pick one up at that price too?

If your not taking ur G to the track, I would question the usefulness of the oil pan. I would guess maximum benefit will be derived from FIed G's which will have higher demands on oil availability and temperature as the VQ is tuned outside of the normal operating specs intended by Nissan.

As for quality, a guinea pig will have to bite the bullet and try it out to test fit the pan and make sure it's OEM flush and there are no leaks or spacing issues. Other than that, I think the ~$400 savings from the PE oil pan puts this one in the FTW category if the quality and performance is the same.
