Eh...don't know if I'd take my G to Jiffy Lub. Depends on what kids are doing the work I guess.
Some don't know their you-know-what from a hole in the ground.
Once, they stripped out my oil plug on another vehicle I had and another time got so much oil on my exhaust and undercarriage, it stunk for days until it burned off.
I don't go there anymore.

I treat my G to the Dealer for service, but that's just me.
And yes, I've heard good things about running Synth. Go for it.

Just go to your dealer where you bought the car man. It's the safest bet if anything.

Use the search feature, my friend....

This is probably the most common question ever asked on any forum.

Use Synthetic though.... and don't go to Jiffy Lube.

the thing is, i worked at a dealer for a little over 3 yrs. alot of times they used recycled oil.

and i dont want to buy the oil myself; price of box of synthetic = $45. price of getting oil change at a national service center = $just about the same.

if you start putting synthetic, be sure to always get synthetic later on....

don't ever go to jiffy lube with your g.... jiffy lube left oil cap off my 86 toyota pickup and got everywhere in the engine...a friend took it there for the oil change in chico when he borrowed the truck... 4 months down the road, the engine blew.... he's never driving any of my cars ever again.... he's rolled his pops pickup too....

i buy napa pro gold filter from napa and 5qrt mobil 1 jug from walmart... i do it myself every other oil change interval while i take the oil and filter to nissan or infiniti dealer to change during the times or when i'm lazy...

i did a few diy oil changes with mobil1 synthetic, and for the last oil change i took it to the dealer and they charged me $40. did they use synthetic!? would i be doing any damage if i used synth from ~1200 to ~5000 and whatever the dealer put in from 5000 to 7100mi? i'm scared... should i change my oil right now back to synth if the dealers didn't use synth?

dealer won't use synthetic unless you specify and pay extra for it... they put dino....

they did it to me the first time i took it to them on second oil change.... got home, drove it up on ramps, drained the dino out and poured in synthetic....($20 oil change service with tire rotation)

replaced the dealer installed oem filter on later oil change....
