I dont think there is a VQ34. I know there is a VQ33 making around 300 standard and 500 with a turbo setup. But if your talking about the VQ35 racing engine I assume stonger internals?

Re: Nissan Racing VQ Engine

the skyline you see above is powered by a VQ34. Import Tuner mag has a article about it, but I just want to find more info on this VQ34, import tuner stated it is basically same motor as the 350z? and that motor pumps over 500+.HP with that setup.

It looks very different from the VQ35. Btw, there is also VQ32...which should be the engine found in the new coming GT-R35.

Re: Nissan Racing VQ Engine

i would assume a shorter stroke is the difference. Tht combined with and upgrade to closed deck to handle more abuse. With that combo, you can rev it up more and pump some big compression.

i think there is a vq30det that is in a top secret car i think? not sure.. neway it cant be the same as the our vqs these are beefed up wit stronger internals and lower compression to handle the turbos.. like the sr20de and the sr20det are so different.. even tho they are the same engine kinda..

Re: Nissan Racing VQ Engine

that doesn't look much different then the vq35. the only difference I see is the plenum. The throttle body and everything else is in the same place.

Re: Nissan Racing VQ Engine

Yes, Top Secret swapped a VQ35DE into a GT-R and outfitted the engine with a twin turbo set up...Supposed to be the same turbos and hardware in development for the single turbo kit that will HOPEFULLY make it into production for the States
