squealing belts wd40??????
squealing belts wd40??????
was wondering if anybody knows if it is safe to spray on WD40 on our belts?
my belts have just recently started to squeal and i tried tightening it and checked for damage, everything is good.
so a friend suggested wd40 stating that it works for him.
thanks in advance

No dude... thats bad... Go buy some belt dressing but its just a cover up. Take it to a mechanic and see the actual reason why its squealing... with all those mods you should be able to afford a check up at least =X Hahaha
Nice as* mods to your car by the way =)
Have you ever dyno'd your car? How much HP/TQ?

Absolutely not. You need to test the deflection of the belts and make sure they're within spec. I believe the spec is something like .4" to .5". You'll need the FSM to do it right.
i should smack my friend for the advice
than again he was trying to help LOL!
i might as well take into the shop...thanks for the inputs
