Motor Mounts -NEED Hi Performance

Hey all -

I need new motor mounts. Mine are gone, or at least 1 is and I am looking for new ones that wont!

All I have seen are a set from Injected Performance.

If you have any other suggestions or experience in these, please let me know. I don't want solid mounts, as this is still a daily driver, and it looks like the Injected ones are solid based.

Thanks for the help in advance!

Rick

Are you running a engine torque damper? That tends to help with the motor movement as well as life of the motor mounts since the motor isnt moving as much...

Really the only thing I have seen are the solid mounts... That will add vibration to the vehicle...

Let me know if you need some new OE mounts!

ISMSOLUTIONS, is your belt slipping on your vortech?

otherwise if you have 398.4 tq, it should hold that tq all the way to redline in which case you should be making 500whp at redline!

my wife who's prone to severe migraine headaches from vibrations didn't even notice any extra vibrations in my car with solid motor mounts

Yes...I have the Stillen on the car and am worried about breaking factory ones again. Also thought of adding a 2nd damper on the opposite side of the motor as well somewhere...

PM me with a price on the mounts...

OK - so what level of vibration did you notice? Honestly...I don't want the whole thing rattling, through the steering wheel..etc. Do you just get the harmonics through the car???

I'll PM you on the OT question..

I'm not sure how to quantify the amount of vibration. It's maybe slightly more than stock. You can maybe feel it in the steering wheel just a little.

My installer was warning me not to do it, that I'll end up just going back to the stock mounts. I talked with other people who had the solid mounts put in on their Z and they all said it really isn't a big deal with vibration. I was asking them if you had a cup of water sitting in the cup holder, would the water be really turbulent etc. They said it'd hardly be any different than normal.

The more I looked into solid motor mounts reading about other cars and people's experiences, the pattern I noticed was anyone with a bigger car with a V8 or V10 hardly noticed a difference in vibration. The people with smaller cars with 4 cylinder engines or rotory engines like the RX7, could barely stand it or at least some people said it's VERY noticable on those cars.

So I figured the Z/G are bigger cars and the V6 is a decently sized engine that's pretty balanced. I don't mind hardcore mods personally so I went with it and was 100% glad I did. I've had nothing but good things to say about them.

when my wife first sat in the car afterword, I told her about the extra vibration and she just blew it off like it was nothing. She was asking me if it really was more vibration than stock and had to say yeah it's probably a little more. She actually said "anyone who thinks that's a lot of vibration is a wuss" - exact quote.

I actually don't remember. It wasn't a huge company, was a guy in his garage who started a small company who started making them. I think he later started a website, but at the time I emailed him and sent him money through paypal

edit:
