UTEC 1K OUT THE DOOR....wat u think?

Hi guys so i went to this tuning shop(tuning factory) here in michigan ..i got a price of $1,000 out the door and they already have a NA AT G35 tuned map will be puting it on the UTEC so its going to be cheaper?.. is this price too expansive? one of the guy said the map is off from a AT G35 with header, testpipes ect...will this old map work on my car? i need some help on more details.. what should i look into get my ECU tuned...is there anything else cheaper?like around $500?
..wat do u guys think?any comments are welcome

if you have the same mods on yur car that is on the UTEC map then it's an ok deal. If you dont have the same mods then it's gonna be a waste. You can get a new UTEC from a vendor here for under $900.

^Agreed. I still think 1k is a bit to much for the UTEC though. I'd say 800.00 sounds about right.

If you are going to spend that kind of money on a UTEC get the most out of it and have them tune it for your car. Since they have a good base map it should only be 1-2 hours on the dyno.

they charge about 160 an hour labor for tuning... it would be more $ if they going to tune my car with a new map.

I got my UTEC installed and tuned for that price at Performance Factory and Jeremy ran the car on the dyno about 40+ times until he was satisfied. Best service ever.

I am one of the owners of TF.......I think we can do 1000-1050 price installed and tuned on the DYNO....give us a shout again tomorrow....my name is Jeff and I own the DG G35C.

For someone that has ovbiously spent a good amount of money on there G(i saw yours outside) why would you try to not dish out money on a good engine management just to save 500 bucks?? I can tell you have some good taste by your care so don't cheapen out just to satisfy the need to save 500.....the Utec and your car is well worth the cost of the utec and tune.
