Quad - yours is black chromed right? What did that cost you? I am in the middle of polishing my spare one and it is a PITA to get to all the little parts. I might just have it chromed.

imagine how dirty it could have been without it.. it does trap some dust under there but wat about all the dust you have on the cover.. that cold have been all over the engine

I find that without the cover I clean my plenum from time to time. If it were on there all the dirt and moisture would build up and possibly affect its ability to disperse heat.

You might want to consider powder coat as an option as well... That's what I did - gives a black-chrome effect. Probably cheaper too.

Yeah that black chrome power coat looks nice too. I'll look into that.
