9 Mpg ??

Yes you read it correctly, currently Im getting about 9mpg. Realized this awhile back and started monitoring my fuel consumption a bit more closely. After several fillups Ive varied between 166miles and 212miles from full to low fuel light. I am a spirited driver at times, but the majority is just normal driving.

Vehicle is '05 5AT Sedan

Fuel is always 93

Only mods on the car are:

MD 5/16 spacer
Stillen 'Hi Flow' intake
Stillen catback

ANY thoughts or insight?

But on each fillup, how many gallons of fuel goes in?

9mpg is NOT normal. I drive aggressively as well and I get 19mpg avg.

usually about 18+. Like I said its filled up when the light is on, so I imagine its fairly low at that point. Although Im unsure the level that triggers the light.

how big are your wheels and how many miles do you have on your car? larger wheels such as 20's can be bad for mpg.

Whoa, when I saw your post in this forum I thought that you are FI until I saw your mods. Definitely not normal at all. I have the somewhat the same mods as you and I'm a spirited driver at times as well, but I'm averaging 21 mpg.

that's not cool at all.... here in cali i use 91 and my car gives me an average of 20.4 to 21 mpg & the lowest was 19... also, i get about 300-340 miles from full to near empty.... at least that's what the info on my screen says and i also zero out the mileage reading on trip a every fill-up. i say take it to the dealer and have them look into your fuel lines, computer and transmission. hopefully this helps and good luck!
