Drive/AC belt changed -edited-

I got my drive/AC belt changed about 2,500 miles ago and ever since then it hasn't felt the same. Ex. When I punch the gas I don't get that big jolt that brings your head back anymore. Is there anyway that the mechanic could have replaced the belts with the wrong size?

Or any ideas on why it doesn't feel as powerful as it once did. I understand the "sluggish effect" but I don't think thats the case in this issue. Any other suggestions on why this might be happenning after the belts being replaced?

Odd. The only thing I can think of is that he overtightened them WAY too much. You inspect the work? Anything look odd?
