We haven't seen anything above 92 in Ca. for years and now we're stuck
with 91 octane. It must be nice to have good gas available to you and
you probably don't pay what we get stuck with. Yesterdays fill cost me
$60.00 for my wifes Vet......always look forward to the monthly bill coming
in.........Ouch!

it's difficault to find though... not many places have it and you normally have to go out of your way to get it (as oppose to 91 on every corner)...

yes, and customers beat the crap out of the loaners too...

I don't think I'll be following the loaner program ...

not too bad hopefully as the car will pull timing when needed from lower graded octane. if you feel absolutely paranoid, i suggest purchasing octane booster from your local vatozone. it's around 10 bucks or so.

everyone I talk to (industry professionals) say all octane booster is poo poo... besides, if you are going to put 87 octane then spend $10 on octane booster you spent more money than going 91+ in the first place. the dif here (So Cal) between 87 and 91 is $.20 multiply that times 15gal (at the most) and a full tank is only $3 difference. Even if we had 93 octane it wouldn’t cost $10 more than 87.

for the amount you pay for " good" octane booster - you might as well buy a gallon of race fuel and dillute.

I would do that regualarly - but I can't find a place close enough to even do it for the track Do you know of anyplace in OC - or preferable OC/LA boarder?... I think I read somewhere there is a place in Stanton?... That way I could get it on the way to Irwindale

I don't know why anyone would do 87 + Octane Booster?

Edit - I forgot you're in SD... you probably don't know of any places up here...

I've been using a full tank of 87 (once only!), just switched to the full tank of 91 yesterday, but I don't feel any difference.
