Dealer, called them today they said they put the right amount.
I'm worried this is 2nd engine and previous one was replaced last month for this reason.

Take it back and have them do oil consumption test.

And make sure you're monitoring the levels (i.e everytime you stop for gas). A motor that new should never be burning oil.

Man that sucks! I'm gettin my new motor in about 2 weeks due to the same prob. My car has about 20,xxx miles how many miles on your G. Also do you have a manual tranny? I am worried I'll be looking at the same problem even after I get the new motor like you. Nissan should've fixed this problem by now this motor is over 5 yrs old they've had enough time to come up with a fix other than eplacing engines.

Over the phone they just KNEW they put in enough oil?

Regardless, I'd be going back there for a consumption test, like everyone said. That is a LOT of oil to loose in 500 miles, but not impossible. I lose 1qt in 5000 miles, which is about normal for a 6-banger engine.

This is my secon engine and the previous one got replaced because of this reason. Also I'm not the favorite person at the dealership cause I expect too much, like getting the car fixed on first try.
It took them 6 tries including engine change to remove the running water sounds from my car. 4 times they called me that the car is done, I show up get in the car and hear the water running (I have to drive 25 miles one way to them). So I complained few times to management and infiniti and now I red flegged.
