I wouldn't know about those pulley's. But with my '01 camaro SS, when I changed my stock crank pulley to an 'ASP' pulley, it made quite a difference, so I'm sure these ones would as well. The biggest difference I noticed was no lag when I had my A/C on. The ASP was consistantly 4-7HP to the wheels. But the LS1 is 'internally balance'...I'd find out of this engine is as well before messing with a pullley

It may have been already talked about, but here are the two main things underdrive pullies are supposed to accomplish:
-Reduce rotating mass
-Underdrive the accesories
The first frees up hp, just like a lightened flywheel or driveshaft would. The second allows your motor to work a little bit easier, meaning less power loss from the accessories. This also helps with A/C, like he said. Because the A/C isn't working quite as hard (still like 95% the same though) it doesn't suck as much power from the motor when on as it does with the stock pullies.
On a G20 they helps slow down the waterpump enough to where it helps prevent overheating as the waterpump cativates at high rpms. But I don't know if they have any nice effects like this on a G35. So far I haven't heard of any.

I heard that the VQ35 is not internally balanced. (Well, not at the crank, I would assume that there is a balancer shaft around the valley to reduce the vibration caused by the uneven number of cylinders per bank) So, from what I've read the stock pulley has some vibration absorbing material that protects the crank from the accessories and the accessories from the crank. So, although you will notice more power of the type the learning algorithm can not undo, you risk damaging your crank and accessories. I have a friend who had an unorthodox on his 99 maxima (VQ30) and had no problems for 40000 miles. That's all I have for you.
