Okay, so I was trying to check up on my oil level today. I proceeded to pop open the hood and pull the dipstick, which I did. But for some reason this dipstick would not come out, this thing felt like it was glued on. I thought it was the metal brackets around it that was holding it down, so I got a screwdriver and tried pushing the brackets to the side to free it up a bit. It loosen up but still didnt come out. Well..knowing me, I got a little frustrated ..I mean how can something so simple be so hard to get out!
Needless to say I pulled it to hard and the yellow tab broke off.

I know we all have shi**y dipstick but have this ever happen to anyone?!?!

 

odd. never head of this. You might have to try to grip with some needle nose plyers to get it out. You don't want it dropping into the pan or dropping down to where you can't get it.

You might have to remove the maf to gain more of a straight shot at it. Good luck
