no torque?

so i got in my car and went to my local walmart and my car has no torque! it has no pick up but it has the RPMs and engine noise but hesitates to get up fast. Heres the funny thing, i had almost same problem 8k ago when i replaced the clutch except then it wouldnt go at all, right now it just hesitates to go. My batt was unplugged for a few hours while i wired up my new head unit, but i know i didnt short anything out . what do i do?? i know i dont need a clutch alrdy!

It's mad at you for taking it to Wal-Mart. Those parking lots are like a sentence to death by shopping cart.

I duno, maybe by unplugging your battery, you whiped out some ECU adjustments that your car had made to account for intake mods and stuff. Or maybe you accidentally unplugged another wire while unhooking the battery? Did you check your MAF sensor to make sure it's clean? Is the check engine light on? Also make sure your battery terminals are tight and the battery harness is on tight. Maybe the battery moved when you were driving and made one of the battery terminals slide up off the post a bit.

thanx, but my battery is okay and its fairly new too and terminals are good, i have put on new LED lights on the gauges ,similair to accord freaks posts
https://g35driver.com/forums/lighting/36787-led-project-part-3-gauges-revealed-56k-haha.html . but yes the check engine light is on and it would be because i unplugged them to work on them and when you replug them the light is on untill you clear the ECU. (i work as a internet sales manager at infiniti so i asked my service tech, and of course they want like 100000 bucks to bring car in to look at it.

If the CEL is on, might be worth going to Auto Zone and have them pull the code for free via the OBDII port. At least that will give you a starting point of reference to go by in beginning to troubleshoot the problem... and most likely it will narrow it down to less than 3 or 4 possible causes.

I do agree with you though.. avoid bringing it into Infiniti, unless it's an absolute last resort. Their labor charges are exorbitant.

Thanks for your input, it is weird because my door open light is on and wont go away, but when i step on the brake then it will go away, lol its weird cuz it seems like I ground it by the brake and it goes away.
By the way DO NOT drive the car without gauge cluster in! lol it will drive for 20 miles before it shuts down the ECU and car wont start, you need to plus them back in and jump the batt! i had a infiniti rep help me with advice on that one.

so took advice and went to auto zone and i have 3 codes that poped up,lol. 1st code is U1001 manufacter specific DTC (see service manual) the guy was like ohh i have NEVER seen that one before. Then P0462 Fuel level sensor low circuit input, and P1615 manufacter control aux inputs and aux outputs. ?? now it gets fun, Im gonna have to talk to my service tech at work and without bringin it in I want him to least tell me the problems by our computer. anyone know or have ever had those codes??

Look up each code in your personal copy of FSM............each and every code is linked in .pdf to a specific page/pages in FSM.

http://www.infinitihelp.com/Ownership/Common/codes1.htm

GOOGLE: obd2 P1615

Owners and shade tree mechanic [and some real shops] cause most of the code [MIL] problems!

Dollar Punishment is the usual method to TRAIN owners to study before thay unplug or make any changes.................better than getting caned for a mistake.
