Exclamation ECU code 21? Is that what these lights mean?

I have an 07 6MT, only 8K on it. My SES light is on. My car eats oil, but has never gone below the L, as I check it every time I get gas, and about every 900-1000 miles, add a quart.

I wanted to reset my code, thinking maybe my 5/16 spacer or 350z/JWT intake had something to do with it.

I reset my ECU using this thread (Second attempt): https://g35driver.com/forums/engine-drivetrain-forced-induction/6526-easy-ecu-resetting.html

After It started flashing, it flashed 10 times Slow, 10 times fast, then twice, then once, then paused, then again. 10 10 2 1, 10 10 2 1, etc. But the light went out, until I started the car again.

So does that mean MIL Code 21? I can't seem to figure out what this is, but google tells me that MIL CODE 21 is ignition.

Anbody provide a diferent direction? Search and Google have failed me, but it could be the keywords I used. Allen

disconnect the battery for a while (few hours), then start her up and drive around for a few miles. If no SES light comes on, there's no problem (other than it eating your oil)

Thanks for the reply, I do still get the light after a 19 hour disconnect. I need to know what 10 10 2 1 is for a code. Anyone?

Nissan tested my Car, Code P0021 and Code P0011, Valve timing, or Oil Pressure, but Oil was noted as good, so probably just a Solenoid. The gas pedal test works.

Getting a new Engine. . .

Just got off the phone with Steve of South Infiniti in Miami. I have to drive my car up to him tomorrow so that he can document my oil consumtion. He is already ordering me an engine. Those two codes are not a good thing to see, unless you want a new motor. It will take me three trips to Miami, maybe four.

I don't know what the codes mean, but the combination must mean something. Over the phone, he asked how often I put Oil in the Car, I told him about once every third or forth tank. I guess that is why I made it to 8K miles. He asked me if I wanted the bad news, and I replied as long as it is covered by warranty, all is good. This was the third 07 6MT with these codes he's seen, all with Oil Consumption problems, all got new engines.

A friend of mine out here just got his engine swapped out for excessive oil consumption. The dealer ended up conducting a oil consumption test which took quite a few trips to dealer. From what I understand the test is very takes a bit of time so just be prepared. For some reason the G35 will regularly consume oil. After about 3750 miles I loose about 1/2 quart to 1 quart of oil. I was told that this is absolutely normal.

Good luck and I hope that things will work out for you.

Thanks for the heads up. If Infiniti thinks I am going to drive 7 hours round trip and spend $50 per tank on multi trips, they are sadly mistaken. Road side assistance can tow my car round trip to Miami all they want. I'll make two trips, that is what I aggreed to. There is a Nissan here in Key West.
