Question on mods and adverse effects.

Right now my G is still bone stock, but I'm thinking of puttin in some easy starting mods like z-tube (haven't decided on k&n drop in or JWT popcharger), motordyne 5/16" isothermal plenum spacer, and sway bars (leaning towards eibach).
I've recently read that the stiffer sway bars will put a lot of stress on the endlinks. So I would assume it would be a good idea to install stronger endlinks when putting in the sway bars. Is there anything I should be looking out for when installing intake and plenum spacers? And is there anything else I should be looking in when installing sway bars and possible stronger endlinks?

I've heard that the installation for a few of these parts is pretty easy. Do most of you install the parts I mentioned on your own (if so, which ones), or do you have someone else do it for you (this will be my first time installing aftermarket parts)? Thanks

i just installed my hotchkins sway bars today took me about an hour and 30min very easy install a couple of bolts and thats it. As for the end links there has been reports of the screws busting but it might be just because the endlink was defected by the factory. I drove my car pretty hard today for about 3 hours going into turns crazy fast and no excessive noises or problems so far just hope it lasts. As for the intake mods there pretty easy to install should take more then a hour to install each one (or less) plus instruction are included in each kit bought from just about all the sponsors we have on here. Well last thing to really say is LET THE MODING BEGAIN.

Those should be pretty easy on the installs. I know the spacer and ztube are and the sways could be a little tricky depending on the tools you have available etc. It shouldn't be *hard* to install them but it might take some time.

As for you question regarding the stresses on endlinks, I encourage you to post a thread specifically for this question in the suspension section if you haven't already. I'm sure that a search through that forum as well would yield some results as well. If you just post in a general section like this then it is likely that the guys with the most actual knowledge of this subject will miss the thread or assume it is about something else.

Good luck and be ready to get some help for mod-itis later on.

There is a lot of info on many of these mods in the Reviews forums.

The earlier Gs had endlinks that would wear out quickly, especially with aftermarket bars. I understand that they redesigned them in 2005 or something. Not sure how the new ones are holding up.
