Spacer question
Spacer question
Hey im new to this forum and am looking for some info on spacers. My friend has a 2003 G35 Sedan and I was curious as to what the difference is between the Kinetix V+ Plenum, the 1/2" Plenum Spacer, and the 1/2" Motordyne. Ive looked into this somewhat and know that the 1/2" is a little better then the 5/6" so my friend decided on the 1/2' but I just don't know the difference between the two companies. As for the kinetix V+ Plenum, i have no idea.
Motordyne indisputably has the best reputation of all plenum mods. That is to say - for each company you research regarding plenum mods, you will find minimal (probably no) negative reviews regarding Motordynes products.
Kinetix had some problems in the past, but supposedly have been rectified - how do you know? Not sure since most have gone with proven Motordyne products.
Crawford makes/made a worthwhile plenum - not many reviews lately... why? Motordyne's product has resulted in the same/if not better gains – but cheaper to purchase.
I'm a HUGE fan of Carwford - I have his HFC and highly recommend them! But have Motordyne’s ½” spacer.
When it comes to plenums (or any manifold mod) Motordyne is an extremely good choice.
Use the search button and you will find the info to be true.

Shouldn't even be a question!
MD hands down
. They have a very good reputation; Tony's service is top notch; and best of all, their products are proven winners.

Looks wise the APS, value wise at the time MD. Crawford was good middle ground and nice for a modded plenum look.
Motordyne has the best support of all 3.

Sports Z magazine did a plenum shoot-out. Here is the link...

Motordyne 1/2" gave the largest gain over 5K to redline, but the 5/16 gave a little more down low, but not much. I went with the 1/2". You can see the other brands compared as well. Motordyne FTW!
