My understanding is that the Skunk2 is composite and not aluminum.

I was told by the local nissan aftermarket race shop that Skunk2 is the way to go. They said that 5/16" Motordyne doesn't produce as much power as the Skunk2. The problem is that nobody has the Skunk2 spacer for sale anywhere. Supposedly Skunk2 is redesigning the spacer because they've had problems with manufacturing it.

it's too big, imo. besides, if a spacer that big was useful, then tony would have already made it.

I have it, and it gives me no check engine light, it's double compared to 5/16. So it's like two of those stacked together. And it was only 176.00

How could it produce more power...they are both just oversized gaskets???

i had a 5/8" spacer before...changed to the Motordyne 1/2" (only 1/8" smaller) and picked up 3-4 whp consistently. I decided to sell the 5/8" after that.

Keep in mind that Motordyne size was chosen from data off of a flow bench. Tony knows what he is doing. For the extra price though, I'd see if you can find one used in the marketplace.

Almost everyone here needs to examine Motordyne's dyno sheets on his site. Tollboothwilley is the only one making any sense here.
